Makes one large smoothie (or two small)
10 minutes
Paleo, vegan, dairy free, gluten free, no added sugar
Ingredients:
1/2 baked and chilled sweet potato
1 frozen banana
1 tbsp almond butter
3-4 Ice cubes
Protein powder (optional--best with unflavored or vanilla)
Milk of choice to blend
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
Pinch each powdered ginger and cloves
1 tsp maca powder (optional)
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Optional toppings: granola, flaked coconut, chia seeds, cacao nibs, fresh fruit...
Steps:
I always prep my sweet potato the night before. Cut it in half and bake each piece wrapped in tin foil for about an hour at 400F.
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth!
**to make an extra thick smoothie bowl, add less milk**
